I need to comment on a topic that has generated buzz on the internet in recent days:
Does the color palette imprison? Definitely NO!
Anyone who says yes, honestly… Doesn’t know what they’re talking about! Or you really don’t understand the countless possibilities for using the tool.
I decided to write this article to, firstly, share my position on the topic and, secondly, to show all the benefits of knowing your color palette.
If you learn to use it the right way, you’ll see how much it actually FREES YOU, and doesn’t imprison you.
Color palette is NOT prison: understand why!
First of all, what’s a color palette?
The color palette is a powerful self-knowledge tool, which makes life easier for those who have carried out their Personal Color Analysis!
Here, you have access to a set of tones that best enhance your beauty.
In the Expanded Seasonal Method, colors are classified according to some dimensions analyzed in your hair, skin and eyes during the Personal Coloring test. They are: depth, intensity and temperature, in addition to personal contrast.
In the Digital Experience, colors are classified according to two variables: temperature and contrast.
In practice, you have access to a SELECTION or SAMPLE of tones that flatter you.
However, anyone who graduated from Studio Immagine or was assisted by one of our consultants knows that there are other shades, in addition to those present in the color palette, that you can find in stores, makeup and beauty products, that can also benefit you.
Therefore, it’s very important that the client receives training on the characteristics of their skin and how to identify these colors on a daily basis. Only then, with this mini-class on color theory, will she know how to differentiate different shades.
This service is very important since we have different beauties on the same color palette. So, this explanation, this recognition of colors, understanding more about the subject is essential for the person to become more comfortable using colors.
As I said: the color palette is a tool and works as a quick and practical guide. It makes consulting the colors that enhance and do not enhance your beauty quicker and more practical.
All this because you can use it to COMPARE color tones. In other words, as time goes by, your eye becomes more and more trained on the color and, consequently, you need to consult your color palette less.
This is why I always emphasize during Personal Coloring Training classes: if you know and master the characteristics of your test, you will be able to identify colors on your own, without depending on the tool.
What do you gain by discovering your color palette?
With access to the right information, your color palette brings you a series of benefits.
Makeup in the wrong tone? NEVER!
Have you ever had the experience of buying the wrong shade of foundation and leaving, for example, looking orange in photos?
Precisely to prevent this from happening, carrying your color palette in your bag is a real help!
Studio Immagine’s color palette presents a sheet with indications of the best makeup tones for your beauty.
Blush, foundation, mascara and eyeliner, lipsticks, everything is discriminated to make your life easier. But, of course, the consultant will guide you to choose tones other than those, as I said.
Hair: the frame of your face
Studio Immagine’s Big Color Palettes also come with some hair tone options for the season’s beauties.
When handing over the color palette, the consultant must indicate what favors you most according to the particular result of your test and also taking into account your contrast and image desire.
The entire color palette matches each other!
Afraid of making a mistake with the color combination? This doesn’t exist if you already know your color palette! Precisely because the colors in it have a balance of temperature, intensity and depth, which ensures that they match each other.
Just open your wardrobe, bring the color palette closer and exercise your creativity. I bet there will be beautiful combinations of looks!
Are you out of inspiration? See the combination sheet!
“Lu, I know that the entire color palette matches each other, but I woke up with no inspiration to get ready. Any tips?”
At the end of your Studio Immagine color palette, there are five blades with combinations ready for you to bet on! And the best part: when creating the color palette, we thought of combinations that suit different image desires.
So how are you feeling on the day? What do you want to communicate through your image? Find the matching image desire and choose a combination to call your own!
A tool to train your eyes!
Furthermore, having the color palette on hand is perfect for training your eye on colors. With it in hand, you’ll know how to differentiate a warm tone from a cool one, an intense tone from a soft one, a light tone from a dark tone.
That’s why I always reinforce: knowledge FREES!
What’s most valuable in your color palette!
And do you know what’s most valuable about discovering your color palette? The self-knowledge it gives you!
What person doesn’t like to feel more beautiful? Once you have access to this information about something as private as your beauty, it’s natural to look for what will enhance you.
BUT PAY CLOSE ATTENTION:
This doesn’t mean that you’ll stop using other colors just because they aren’t part of your color palette!
You don’t need to stop using any color! With the right strategies, which you learn in Color Consultancy, you learn how to use any and all colors to your advantage.
It’s always good to remember that the enhancement effect comes from the colors used close to the face. So, using colors outside the color palette further away from the face is also an excellent option, such as on pants, bags, belts and shoes.
What does the color palette free you from?
If it’s not a prison… What does the color palette free you from, anyway?
Look, I’ve already carried out more than 10,000 Personal Coloring tests and I know the power that colors have to transform lives!
They influence our mood, the way we make decisions and deal with others. That’s precisely why I want to show you some of the testimonies I hear most from my clients.
Upon discovering the color palette, they freed themselves:
- From insecurity when dressing
- From wearing a lot of makeup on a daily basis to cover dark circles and blemishes (the right colors minimize these skin conditions).
- Only use black, white, gray and beige
- From the fear of combining colors and looking like a clown on the street
- Getting the wrong hair tone and, consequently, looking more tired
- Of making the wrong purchases
- Of wasting money on makeup that isn’t the right shade for you!
Yours sincerely,
Luciana Ulrich
